Francis reached out to Nico about improving a muddy slope leading to his serene woodland, where he enjoys seeking shelter on hot summer days. He wanted a better solution, using as many materials as possible from his property.

Upon inspection, I spotted five beautiful, large slate slabs and piles of stones scattered around the site where an old barn once stood. Everything we needed was right there!

What we’ve accomplished:

1.

We began by clearing the area and digging the foundations for the steps.

2.

Next, we built the steps as small dry stone walls, ensuring they were strong enough to support the large slate slabs.

3.

Finally, we carefully positioned the slabs on top of the steps, creating a solid and durable structure.
